Abscess in liver, cholangoitis, maturation, second CT
Cholangoic abscess appears initially as a heterogeneous area of lower density along portobiliary bundles. Then the infection becomes demarcated giving an appearance of typical liver abscess of lower density with enhancing rim. Later, the abscess descreases in size and it is gradually cleared by liver tissue causing increasingly thicker mildly enhancing rim around the lesion until the lesion disappears entirely.
