Acute gangrenous cholecystitis

CASE

The gallbladder has markedly thickened, oedematous wall, inner (mucosal) layer is irregular, shaggy indicating sloughing of mucosa, some cellular debris can be seen within the lumen, some pericholecystic fluid.
