Gangrene of perineum and ischiorectal fossa, Fournier gangrene

CASE

CT shows a large area with gas bubbles and inflammatory edema of soft tissue extending from the perineum, through the ischiorectal fossa to the subcutaneous gluteal fat on the left side. The inflammation in the ischiorectal fossa is somewhat circumscribed with thick enhancing rim.
