Lung fibrosis, decompensation after lobectomy

CASE

A patient with lung fibrosis underwent lobectomy, which caused decompensation of the fibrosis - besides chronic thickening of septal lines, there appeared large areas of ground-glass as a sign of alveolitis. Note also residual free air in the right pleural cavity postoperatively, chest tube dorsally and mild subcutanenous emphysema.
