Pleural effusion, subpulmonal

CASE

The distance between the stomach bubble and the outline of the left lung is increased by the presence of subpulmonal pleural effusion with minimal blunting of left lateral costodiaphragmatic angle in an erect radiograph. Note also decreased transparency of the right lower lung lobe due to loculated pleural effusion that does not extend above the minor fissure.
