A large mass in the right perirenal space of fat density dislocates the right kidney. It causes only mild (if any) hydronephrosis - the calyces are hypotonic. Some perinephric streaks cause slight increase in density of the mass close to the location, where it abuts the renal pelvis. PET-CT examination was requested by a physician. Naturally, it did not yield any useful information - the lipoma did not show avidity to 18FDG.
