Rupture of the diaphragm, diaphragmatic hernia

CASE

CT shows a prolapse of abdominal viscera into the left pleural cavity through the ruptured left hemidiaphragm. The intestinal bowel loops with mixed content can be readily recognized in the chest radiograph.
