Stenosis of trachea, tracheal intubation, virtual tracheoscopy

CASE

The first radiograph shows an orotracheal tube with an inflated cuff at a correct position. After the patient recovered, CT of the trachea was indicated due to breathing difficulty with stridor. It showed benign postintubation tracheal stenosis about 1 cm long at the level of the upper thoracic aperture, where the cuff was formarly inflated.
