Periostosis, fibula, CVI, chronic venous insufficiency, perimalleolar edema
Radiographs show lamellar periosteal thickening on the outer side of fibular shaft which can be attributed to chronic venous insufficiency. Note also soft tissue opacities on the medial aspect of the shin that represent varices and edematous aspect of the subcutaneous soft tissue.
